How to keep fear of criticism from crushing you?

Ah, criticism. For some of us, the fear of it can feel so BIG and so CRUSHING that it shuts us dogood coach quotewn completely. Mostly because no matter how thoughtful or honest your work is, we all know there’s a good chance someone is going to complain because of it.

And unfortunately these days, that criticism will likely occur in public — in front of people you work with, on the internet (especially social media)- for the entire world to see…

What’s the toughest part?

Probably knowing that once you see those harsh words spoken or written about you or your work, you can’t unsee,  unhear them. Those stinging phrases have a way of lingering in the dark corners of your consciousness, often for decades.

Have you’ve ever wondered, “How do I not let the fear of criticism crush me and make me feel worthless?

If yes, pls write to me and tell me your solution! In return I will write you mine 😉

  1. Escaping the fear of criticism can be combated by a harsh reality. No matter what you create, what you write, what you produce, what you put out there, someone is going to have a problem with it. “You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world

Escaping the fear of criticism can be combated by a harsh reality. No matter what you create, what you write, what you produce, what you put out there, someone is going to have a problem with it. “You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, but there will always be someone who hates peaches.” It’s that simple.

What you create and who you are should not be for everyone. If you create to please everyone, then you are missing the point.

The point to create is to share unique, different perspectives. And sometimes, these perspectives are going to be met with some pushback.

You just have to keep in mind all the positive responses even if there’s only one.

    • You figured out well, oh how I loved your peach compare! And yes, you are right, there will always be someone who won’t like what we do, who we are, how we look… we all know that we shouldn’t take care of what he/she says… just reality is so often different, isn’t it?

      • That is true. Reality can be so different from what we know to be true and right. I think it’s all a matter of keeping that one positive comment in sight and keeping reaffirming stories in view.
